BMD the Apprentice

Hello folks. My name is Brendan, but here on the webernets I go by the alias BMD. I have been invited to co-found DLC Diaries!

This next year I’m going to be a freshman in high school, hence the apprentice title. When I get out of high school I plan to study Music Theory and Audio Engineering in College. Currently I produce 8-bit chip tunes and electronic music in my free time to practice my craft. I also play percussion instruments including the marimba, snare drum, and drum set.

Aside my love for music, I’m a video game freak. When I was a wee child, my siblings had a SNES with a few gems and a crap ton of Disney games. I think the first video game I ever played was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with my brother. I was to little to understand the story and how to play it so I’d watch him play it whenever he visited my family. When I got a bit older I’d play video games all day, including games like The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, Ratchet & Clank, Super Mario Brothers, Metal Gear Solid, and many, many more. Yeah, I had a lot of free time.

I’m very much into gaming; however I am really, really bad at playing. Growing up with family and friends who love gaming and can actually play, has caused me to love watching and following game story lines, as well as rather loudly giving advice as to how they should be playing (NO! The door was back there! Turn around! Turn around!). Due to this inability to complete games, I won’t be reviewing games, simply instead being an editor on this wonderful site.

Hello reader/s. My name is L, (a.k.a. Pixellll) and I’ve graciously been invited to contribute to the DLC Diaries! I’m currently twenty years old, a psychology student, and in my free-time an “artist” (see also: general layabout).

 

Hi there.

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and much to the chagrin of my parents and teachers, have no intention of stopping any time soon. As part of my role in the Diaries, I hope to add lots of video game-related fanart to the Gaming Gallery. It’ll mostly consist of any games/characters that tickle my fancy, but I’m more than willing to take suggestions or requests.

I like to think of myself as a creative person (see also: someone who laughs at their own jokes) so I find that I’m normally drawn to games that involve awesome character, weapon and environmental design, as well as engaging story lines. That being said, I do enjoy senseless violence too, particularly if there are guns involved.

I’m looking forward to sharing some art via this blog, and hearing from people who love video games as much as I do!

Things To Know About DDD

My friends call me DDD and to those who are reading this, you may call me that too. I am co-founder of the up and rising DLC Diaries blog.

I reside in the USA around the area of Chicago, Illinois. I am twenty years old and pursuing a future major in computer programming. It would be an over-statement to say my understanding of programming languages is at a basic level, however I seek to learn more about the subject as time goes on.

I grew up with a strong love for anything Nintendo. Some games that have shaped my childhood the most would be Banjo-Kazooie and later, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. What I will be posting in my sections here on DLC Diaries will be Nintendo related posts in a category I call “The Hookshot”. Other posts will include game reviews, media I have enjoyed most recently, and anything else I feel like sharing.

It is my honor and privilege to be able to write for this blog with very good friends of mine. I hope to bring the world content that is enjoyable for everyone who reads!

I am a 18 year old student based in Sydney Australia in my first year of university at the University of Wollongong. I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Communications, Media Studies and Business, any information about my studies in this course can be found on my separate blog here.

Grifflon is of course not my real name but a pseudonym for the purposes of this site and as an identity.
If you need any more information on who I am this little drawing sums it up nicely.

Since my earliest memories I have loved video games and writing. So what did I decide to do? Combine the two. This is my biggest creation. I have poured my time and effort into learning everything I can to create this website and I hope that something big will come of it. It is my dream.

I hope that you can help mold my dream and even contribute to the growth of DLC Diaries.

I have searched the globe for some talented individuals and assembled them here for your entertainment. I call them the wonder team of experienced nerds. Each with their own strengths, critiques and gaming knowledge.
